Merie is an  Interior stylist | Design consultant

Native New Yorker Merie Subryan has always possessed a deep affinity for interiors. She spent much of her childhood visiting notable building sites throughout New York City with her father, who collaborated closely with architects in the fire protection industry. Her passion for interiors and architecture blossomed further during summers spent in Europe as a teenager. Experiencing Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel in Vatican City introduced her to a world of endless nuances, profoundly shaping her distinctive perspective on art, architecture, and design.

Merie’s design ethos, “Lets create as unique individuals, no groupthink,” embodies her devotion to genuine, intuitive collaboration. She approaches each home as a personal atelier, where genuine discourse shapes the foundation of carefully curated design. “I seek to compose hyper-personal interiors that mirror the intrinsic fluidity of my clients’ ever-evolving lives — spaces that embrace timelessness, invite quiet discovery and exploration, and celebrate the resonance of objects.”

Her design language thoughtfully orchestrates light, materiality, and space to tell a narrative that honors the interplay between place and the inherent meaning of objects beyond their material value. With a meticulous and unconventional eye, she crafts refined spatial experiences that evoke visual and sensory richness, imbued with character, playfulness, and artful elements.

Merie  studied Interior Design at Parsons, The New School and holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology.

She  has been featured on Dwell, The Strategist, Curbed and more.
